The larger canvas gives me room to develop the composition fully, paint more lifelike figures, and bring a real feeling of tangibility to the scenery. These are the paintings where I get to be the most creative, and they tend to be the pieces that stop people in their tracks.

    These paintings capture the essence of the moment. The couple fills the frame, with the setting and guests suggested loosely in the background rather than painted with individual detail. After your wedding, I bring the painting back to my studio to refine the colors, composition, and your portraits.

  • Studio Edition

    24×30”

    Couple-focused and perfect for intimate weddings and elopements, I attend your wedding in person to develop my vision for the painting: seeing how it feels, creating drawings and watercolors and taking reference photos to bring your wedding to life on canvas. The painting is completed in my studio with the same care, color, and impressionist style I bring to all my work.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • About two hours early. I set up my equipment, start painting the setting, and get a feel for the light and composition before your ceremony

  • Typically five to eight hours, depending on the flow of your day.

  • About 5x5 feet. I bring everything I need — no extra tables, chairs, or lighting required. The only thing I ask for is access to an electrical outlet.

  • Most paintings are dry and ready to ship within three to eight weeks after your wedding. Some Signature pieces may take longer.

  • I love working in oils! Oil paints have richer pigment and blend more beautifully when working wet into wet. This gives you vivid colors and a life-like appearance that won’t fade over time.

  • Not at all — it’s part of the experience. As a former college drawing professor, I love chatting with guests about art, technique, and what I’m seeing in the moment.

  • I paint the scene as it naturally unfolds. We can talk about strategic placement so I’m more likely to capture significant loved ones, but my work is at its best when it reflects the real flow of your day.

  • I always want you to love your painting and I’m happy to make minor refinements. My goal is a piece that feels true to the moment and will look beautiful on your wall for decades.
