Capture the Moment

When you want to capture a moment in time, my impressionistic live paintings are the perfect way to create a modern heirloom. They are a preservation of the scene as it looked and with all the mood. No staging, no posing, all natural. Perfect for couples who love a loose painterly feel.

INCLUDED:

  • Live painting experience at your wedding

  • 24" x 30" oil on canvas

  • Captures the mood, movement and moment in a candid way

  • No facial details in guests

  • No choreography of specific guests

  • Requires a solid 4-6 hours continuous painting time

  • The painting is done 100% at your wedding in the true spirit of live painting

  • Additional studio refinement/ portraiture is not available as an add-on for this package. No revisions. Painting may receive additional wrap-up session in studio as needed.

  • Inter-island travel+ $550

Refined and Choreographed

If a refined look with your loved one's faces is what you're envisioning, my studio refined pieces are perfect. Each piece gets additional studio time and attention to bring the details to life and enhancements throughout. Choice of 2 compositions: ceremony exit or first dance.

INCLUDED:

  • Live painting experience at your wedding

  • 24" x 36" oil on canvas

  • 2 compositional choices: Ceremony exit with key people choreographed into back rows OR first dance with key people standing around dance floor watching.

  • I bring the live painting back to the studio for weeks of additional work

  • Choreographed with your choice of loved ones

  • 1 hour of complimentary refinements are included after the studio work is complete to make sure you're totally happy (additional edits at $200/hour)


Museum Package

A truly powerful, one of a kind composition unlike any of my other paintings. Each painting is artfully composed to bring out the unique poetry of your wedding. After the wedding the painting is refined for several months in the studio.

What’s the Difference?

All packages include the Live Painting Experience but differ in terms of size, time invested, and artistry required.

  • Expressive, candid and painterly oil sketch. Completed on-site and in the moment in my signature abstract impressionist style.

  • 24×36” size (allows for a more panoramic view). Many weeks of studio refinement and choreography of loved ones in one of my standard compositions.

  • Large 36×48” size brings out my best work. Each composition is one of a kind. Includes months of thoughtful composing and refining in the studio to create a truly original and museum worthy work of art.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Shipping is included in the Museum and Refined packages. For the Capture the Moment, it’s billed at cost.

  • My pricing reflects the time and craftsmanship involved in each piece and is not negotiable. However, I do offer a 10% Kama’aina discount for full-time Hawaii residents as a gift back to my local community as well as to native Hawaiians who may have moved away but are returning to the Islands to marry.

  • Oil paints offer depth, richness, and timeless quality that other mediums can’t replicate. While they take longer to dry, the result is a lasting fine art piece.

  • Live Paintings will typically ship within 1 week (oil drying time required).

    Museum paintings will take 3-5 months due to refinement.

  • No revisions are included in the Capture the Moment Package, One round of revisions are included in the Museum package.

  • Honoring loved ones in paintings is a meaningful touch. Due to the time and detail required, this service is only available for the Museum Package.
